Maynooth Captain Sarah Ann Quinlan thoughts before their league final vs University Limerick on Wednesday.
“As this is our third year in division one I am delighted that we have made such quick process to reach our goal and compete in the league final against UL. As a team I was very impressed with our performances throughout, with only one loss recorded against DIT, we have many different faces this year and this has brought a new edge to our game.
Going up against UUJ in the last round was tough, we were missing a lot of our key players but we showed true defiance and resilience and I’m sure this will continue for the rest of the year.
In relation to this year’s campaign, I have been happy enough so far as we all have been playing well together as a team. We probably are not where we want to be by February but we couldn’t be in a better place at this time of the year.
Looking towards Purcell I have no doubt if we perform to our ability and the next few weeks go to plan we will have a good chance. We will just take one game at at time.”
